Luiza Alexander

Currently at Mercado Pago, I work on products on their SaaS product within their seller experience ecosystem across Latin America, designing scalable experiences for sellers. As Mercado Pago is one of the companies at the forefront of AI adoption, I've also had the opportunity to integrate AI deeply into my process, including a design-to-code project.

Previously at Zicasso, I worked on B2C and B2B luxury travel platforms, designing experiences for travelers, partners and internal teams. From data-heavy dashboards to a full redesign of the public website, I got to work across very different sides of the same travel ecosystem.

Earlier, at Qconcursos, I worked on an educative, large-scale mobile app, contributing to the redesign of the app and helping increase its rating from 4.4 to 4.9.

I work across the full product journey and consider myself a true questioner. I value being part of the strategic discussions, where initiatives are being built and validated. That's where I shine the most. That, and the microinteractions part!

Over the last few years, I've integrated AI into my design process. I like using it to get my head out of the blank during the ideation process, and also to quickly validate my ideas with stakeholders and Engineering. It's become part of my daily process, but I only use it when there's a clear purpose behind it.

What really drives me in my work is knowing the users and having exposure to the real impact of what I'm doing.

I also prefer projects that require creativity and where I can work alongside Engineering and Product from day one. That way, I don't have to create something that only works in Figma. :)
